Show History From Your Host

Rip and Pull is a Hobby Card show made for all collectors and non-collectors alike.  After years of Ripping my own boxes and watching friends open packs, I decided to share the fun, record a Rip and Pull session and broadcast it for everyone to see. After researching different avenues to create a show for the general public, it became clear I would need a unique form of delivery to get this show out to the collecting community. Then along came WEBcasting, WEBisodes, PODcasting and all the other broadcasting mediums. That’s when I mounted the camera on the tripod, turned on the lights and started Ripping Boxes for all to see. Opening packs and boxes of cards can be very exciting and watching someone else pull cards can be just as thrilling. The response I received from the first episode prompted me to create another installment then another. Now with a few episodes under my belt, I have posted past shows on this Web Site so there will be an official home for Rip and Pull. Thank you to everyone who watches, comments, emails and asks questions. If it weren’t for all the viewers who actively support the show, Rip and Pull would not be as popular as it is today.

Episode_1.html
This box contains an 8”x10” autographed card, a Rookie card and a Jersey card per pack! I have never opened a product like this (oversized cards) and I am very excited to see what I can pull from this box. Join me while we Rip this box and Pull some very large cards.Episode_34.html
This is a Rookie packed product that gives us the opportunity to pull some great numbered cards or autographs. 2006 was a great Rookie year for Football and this product reflects that as well as giving us some great Veteran cards. Watch as I Rip this box of 36 packs and show you what I get.Episode_33.html
I have to admit it’s been awhile since I Ripped hockey and I wanted to open a product that could be exciting and had a lot of inserts. This product claims 1 Autograph per pack on average. Let’s Rip and Pull this box of Hockey and see what we get.Episode_32.html
With this year's Football Season in its first week of the regular season, I needed to Rip some Football Cards. This product from Donruss has always been a good source of low serial numbered cards. With a small base set (100) cards, chances are pretty good that we can come close to a complete base set and pull some nice numbered cards. Lets Rip this box and see what we get in this episode of Rip and Pull.Episode_31.html
Although I Ripped a box of 07 Artifacts in episode 28, I felt that showing the differences in these 2 boxes would be a great side by side comparison of the Retail and Hobby versions for the viewers. This is the first time I have been able to open both versions of a product on the show and I think the outcome should be very interesting. Join me as I Rip another box of Upper Deck Artifacts Product on the show.Episode_30.html
With Donruss Being a new sponsor on the show, I chose this box for the 3 memorabilia cards per box possibility. Although all inserts are not guaranteed and are based on an average insertion rate, the potential for a nice pull is very enticing. Even though Football season has not started, I wanted to Rip a box of pigskin to get us in the mood for the upcoming season. Join me in this episode as I Rip a box of Donruss Classics Football.Episode_29.html
Looking over the checklist reveals some very impressive potential inserts and parallels. One of one parallels to the base set, bat knob cards and rare apparel cards are just some of the cards that can be pulled from this box. With a small base set of 100 cards we have a good chance of completing a full base set of this product from one box. Join me as I Rip another box of Upper Deck Product on the show.Episode_28.html
2006 Upper Deck’s Baseball Update product is another box that the viewers have requested. Since the 2007 Baseball Season has started it is appropriate to Rip a box of 2006 Updates. This will give us the launching pad for the upcoming Baseball cards for the 2007 season. 24 packs of 8 cards will give us a lot of cards and possibly a parallel numbered to 99 or an autograph card among other inserts. Join me while I Rip this box and show you what I Pull in another episode of Rip and Pull.Episode_26.html
A Hockey Product has been requested by many viewers and with good reason. This is the much-anticipated follow up to the series one product. 6 Young Guns Rookie cards and 2 Memorabilia cards per box on average is a great way to start with this box. Many potential inserts, which include Jersey’s, Patch’s and Autograph cards are available in this product. Great action shots, full bleed artwork and bright coloring add to the excitement of this product. Join me while I Rip this box and see what I Pull.Episode_25.html
I got a box of this product set up the camera, grabbed the trusty blue scissors and got down to business. The box seemed tiny compared to some of the other products I have opened recently. But you shouldn’t let appearances fool you because this little box has 18 packs of 4 cards per pack. There are many different versions of all the cards in this box especially the Rookie cards. There are even 1 of 1 cards! Lets see what this box brings in this episode of Rip and Pull.Episode_24.html
A wonderful looking product with many potential inserts. It’s even printed right on the outside of the box that there are at least 3 memorabilia cards numbered to 399 or less per box. 4 cards per pack and 10 packs per box would suggest that this is a small box. But good things come in small packages or boxes in this situation. Don’t let this products physical size fool you. There so many parallels and inserts that we can potentially pull, its amazing! Join me as I rip another Hockey box. This little box packs a punch!Episode_23.html
Another sports card product from Fleer that highlights its Rookie cards. As with the Football and Hockey Hot Prospects boxes that we have opened recently, there are the same Red Hot and White Hot low numbered parallel cards that can be pulled from these packs. The small amount of cards in the set makes completing a base set a real possibility with just one box. Jersey’s, Autograph’s, numbered cards are just a few types of inserts that we can pull from this box. Join me and see what I Rip and Pull from this great looking Basketball product.Episode_22.html
The box topper pack, the parallel card in every pack and 2 relic cards in every box is something that would appeal to any box ripper. The classic look of the pictures, they actually look like old tobacco cards, give this product a truly unique appearance in a modern collectable card set. Join me while I Rip and Pull this interesting product and see what I pull from the potentially loaded box.Episode_21.html
An exciting product to consider when you think about its close cousin SweetSpot Baseball. Instead of the autographed baseball swatch you can get an autographed pigskin swatch or even and autographed mini football helmet embedded in the card. This is truly an innovative product when you consider the technology that has been utilized for us the collecting community. Let’s see what I pull from this box and help you decide if you would like to Rip and Pull and box like this for yourself.Episode_20.html
As the name implies, has a great selection of Rookie cards. Great potential to pull numbered Rookie cards, Autograph cards and Autographed jersey cards. Ever since our Rip and Pull viewers had first asked for Hockey, I have been on the hunt for product with lots of potential and I think this box qualifies. Join me while I Rip another box of Hockey and watch what I Pull in this episode.Episode_19.html
This Product’s checklist looks impressive. At least one Basketball Court Flooring card can be pulled from each box on average. Numbered rookies, numbered parallels, Autos, numbered Jordan and Lebron cards ....... Wow! Now most of these cards are not guaranteed pulls but the odds look very good to pull something nice from this product. The coloring, design, action photos and nice rookie selection make this box a good candidate for the show. Because there weren’t many packs in this box, this is s a short Episode but still a fun one. Join me for this installment of Rip and Pull.Episode_18.html
This is a very special edition of Rip and Pull. In this episode we have a special guest, Tony Selco, who shares with us what he collects. We also have the pleasure of interviewing him and getting his views and opinions on the sport of Soccer, Soccer Cards and collecting in general. As Tony mentioned in the interview, Rip and Pull has never delved into the realm of Soccer and this was our chance to learn from someone who really knows this sport and product. A big “Thank You” to Tony for enlightening us on this facet of card collecting. Join us and learn something about Soccer.Episode_17.html
6 cards per pack and 28 packs per box will give us lots of cards. As the name of the product implies, this is a product that highlights Rookies. It took some time taping this episode because of the sheer quantity of cards in this box but it was so much fun pulling all the Rookies and great insert cards. Join me while we dive into this box and pull some really nice cards. Welcome to another Episode of Rip and Pull.Episode_16.html
Although I have never Rip and Pulled Hockey for the show, this didn’t mean I wasn’t open to the idea, just inexperienced in Hockey cards. The requests from the viewers for Hockey were growing and I wanted to see what I could pull. This box promotes 2 Memorabilia Cards and 6 Young Gun Rookie Cards per box on average. Great action photos, great artwork on the insert cards and a good amount of Rookie cards in each box. This was a fun box to open even if I can’t pronounce the names of the players.Episode_15.html
While researching this product I found people stating that there are 1 autograph and 1 jersey card on average per box. With 18 packs in this box we should be able to get some good insert cards. The texture on the front of the cards is unique and makes every card feel special. Even the base cards seem to have the insert feel. I liked these cards and I think you will too. So if you are considering buying these cards for yourself, watch this episode and see what we Rip and Pull.Episode_14.html
This Product has some great low serial numbered single, double and triple Endorsement Autographed cards, quadruple Jersey and Football memorabilia cards. Also some great rookie inserts and 1 of 1 cards. Now getting any of these types of cards would be a great pull and I always keep my fingers crossed and the trusty blue scissors at the ready. Let’s see what I can find in this great Fleer Football product as I dive head first into a new box and show you all the cards I pull.Episode_13.html
This is the perfect compliment to the 2006 Fleer Baseball we opened in the previous Episode. These packs are bulging with tons of Rookies and some great insert cards. Fleer is not too specific with what we can pull from this box but we give it a try anyway. With all of the great college players from last year headed to the pros, we should get some nice Rookies. Also the Fresh Faces cards are very appealing too. Lets see what we pull from this box and watch as I pull some fun as well as great cards from these packs.Episode_11.html
In this box we are supposed to get a memorabilia card, modern player cards printed in the style of 1934 Goudey, sepia or black and white parallels of the 200 card base set and a lot of other inserts. Because this box was so new when I purchased it, I couldn’t do much research before the actual taping of Episode 10. Some of the cards actually slipped away from me during the Rip and Pull session but I was able to spot them later during the final review of inserts. See what I pulled from the box and enjoy this Episode of Rip and Pull.Episode_10.html
The requests for the return of Basketball cards were mounting. While out shopping for new product to Rip and Pull, I stumbled across 2005-06 ESPN Basketball. A small box in size but with 9 cards in each of the 24 packs we are sure to pull a good amount of cards. Upper Deck states we should get 2 memorabilia cards per box on average. With Rookies and inserts too, round ball collectors will enjoy this product. I had fun Ripping these packs and I think you will too with this Basketball Bonanza. Join me while I pull some nice looking cards in this Episode 9 of Rip and Pull.Episode_9.html
Although 2005 Bowman Baseball was not a new box of cards, I can’t dismiss a product because it’s not a current release. Just look at what I pulled from this box and you will see that it was well worth taking a step back in time. The gold bordered parallel cards found in every pack is a good incentive for collectors to Rip this box to pull their favorite players gold version card. With the 3 different types of cards in the base set, it helps to have them in 3 different colors to help identify these cards. Watch and see what I Pull from this box and decide if you would like to Rip and Pull a box like this yourself.Episode_8.html
Many viewers requested that I open some Football. So in Episode 7, I open a 2006 Topps Hobby Football box. Why did I choose Topps Football? Lots of Cards! 36 packs of 12 cards per pack should give me some inserts to show you. Look at all the inserts in the list above. The possibilities are very promising! I have to be honest and say, this box wore me out! Now, I did also listen to some other suggestions I received from viewers wanting more information on the cards pulled from the box. As the show grew in maturity it also grew in length. As I refine the idea for the show I get closer to my desired concept. Watch this Episode and see what I pulled from this box.Episode_7.html
In Episode 6 we return to Baseball and Rip and Pull from a box of 2006 Upper Deck Series 1 Baseball. With the Memorabilia and Autographed cards inserted at a combined average of 2 per box and 5 parellel cards and numbered inserts per box, this is the likely choice for Episode 6. Join me while I Rip and Pull another quality box .Episode_6.html
Episode 5 of Rip and Pull takes a new turn. Because I had received so many requests to Rip and Pull a box of Basketball, My mission was to find a box for the average collector. With Promises of Rookies in every other pack and the potential for autographs, 2005-06 Fleer Hoops Basketball was the chosen box. As we explore the contents of these packs, we take a trip into uncharted territories for Rip and Pull the show, Basketball. Watch Episode 5 and see what Hoops Basketball held for us in this box.Episode_5.html
In Episode 4, I opened a box of 2005 Upper Deck Pro Sigs Baseball Packs and share with you which cards I pulled out. As usual I had no expectations of getting any monumental cards from this box but the odds stated I should get one Autographed Signature Sensation card per box. That alone should make this box an exciting one to Rip and Pull from, so I did! It wasn’t until after I opened the packs and put them up for the overview of what I pulled from the box that I discovered some inserts that weren’t so obvious at first glance. Watch Episode 4 see what I mean and find out what I Rip and Pulled from this box.Episode_4.html
In this third Episode of Rip and Pull, I decided to open a box of 2006 Topps Chrome cards. I liked what the possibilities were of pulling some short printed cards were and I want to see the Chrome version of the Topps regular issue and insert cards. We dive into another box for all to see. Watch Episode 3 of Rip and Pull to see what I pulled.Episode_3.html
In Episode 2, I decided to Rip and Pull from a box of 2006 Upper Deck Sweet Spot. Because of the possibility of pulling an autograph and a memorabilia card in every box, I felt this box was a good candidate for Rip and Pull. Although it was a short Episode, due to the amount of packs in the box, I pulled some nice cards. Join me as I Rip and Pull from this box for you in Episode 2.Episode_2.html
There are not a lot of packs in this box but the list of potential inserts and parallels is eye opening. Early on into this box I was very impressed and from there, it was one surprise after another. The colors on the reflective surfaces of the cards are a great design feature. I was so inspired by this box that I actually came up with some additional show music and made some changes to other aspects of the show. Watch and see what this box brings us.Episode_12.html
In the Premiere Episode, I Rip and Pull a Jumbo Hobby box of 2006 Topps Baseball Packs and share with you which cards I pulled from the packs. The packs are very thick and have the potential of some really nice inserts. Take the journey into this box with me and lets see what we Rip and Pull.Episode_1.html
TRISTAR Elegance is the first Minor League product to be featured on the show. Beautiful cards, awesome seeding and superb packaging make this a high end product. Pulling Rookie cards is always a treat and pulling parallel and numbered Rookie cards is exciting but when you pull a Minor League card of a future star it’s over the top. Let’s see what I pull from this, the first Minor League box on the show.Episode_35.html

Thank You for your support,

This is an interesting box of Football since it has a mix of new and past card designs for the Legend and Rookie Cards. These vintage card designs draw from the 1993 through 1996 Upper Deck SP Card art and are mixed in with the current 2008 design. Touting 4 Rookies per Pack and 2 Autograph Cards per Box we can be assured that we will pull some interesting cards from this box.Episode_36.html
